NewCloud Networks Introduces a Full Suite of Business Continuity Solutions to the SMB Market
Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 31, 2013 -- NewCloud Networks, a nationwide Cloud Services provider based in Denver, Colorado is introducing a host of business continuity management solutions for small and medium sized enterprises. These solutions protect some of the most critical components of business operations: voice and data.
“‘Business continuity management’ is a term referring to the proactive measures businesses take to minimize downtime in the event of catastrophic event; things like natural disasters, emergencies, or other negatively impacting circumstances. Business owners are realizing now more than ever, the importance of data protection,” says NewCloud’s Senior Vice President of Operations and Engineering, Vu Tran. The business continuity management services offered by NewCloud include Backup and Disaster Recovery, Virtual Desktops and Hosted PBX.
The NewCloud Backup and Disaster Recovery (BDR) product is a solution that consists of an onsite appliance which backs up the customer’s server(s) at pre-determined intervals. The appliance is capable of backup data every 5 minutes and the solution is granular enough to restore files that may have been lost or accidentally deleted. In the event of a server damage or crash, the appliance acts as a replacement server, making it possible to restore server function in a few of hours. The disaster recovery component of the solution comes in the form of Cloud backup from the appliance to the NewCloud data center. The image from the backup appliance is transferred over the Internet at daily intervals to NewCloud’s SOC 2 Type I data center in the Denver Tech Center. “Our data center is fully secure and redundant, making it possible for us to ensure the security and availability of our customers’ data in the event of a catastrophe,” says Sam Kumar, Founder. If a customer ends up in a business-impacting situation (fire, flood, earthquake, etc.), a virtual instance of their server is spun up from the data center in a matter of hours. For businesses relying on their data for day to day and/or revenue generating functions, the BDR solution from NewCloud proves ideal.
Virtual Desktops provide another layer of business continuity assurance in the event of a disaster. These desktop environments are hosted in the NewCloud data center, rather than living on a physical machine. Virtual Desktops have the same functionality as a traditional desktop. They provide an automatic business continuity solution for desktops as well as an extra layer of security in companies embracing a “BYOD” (bring your own device) environment. For example, if a company using a BYOD policy terminates an employee, their desktop is deactivated and any information remains secure. NewCloud’s Virtual Desktops are accessible from any device with an internet connection including laptops, desktop PCs, tablets and thin clients.
The NewCloud Hosted PBX system allows customers to use a web-based interface to manage calling features, including automatic call forwarding. This proves advantageous from a business continuity standpoint because the user has the option to set “call forwarding on unavailable” as soon as the system is installed. Using this setting, incoming calls are automatically rerouted to an alternate phone number if there is a power outage or internet failure.
The NewCloud business continuity products are ideal for small to mid-sized enterprises with 25-1,000 employees. All solutions are custom designed by NewCloud's Sales Engineers. For more information and pricing, contact NewCloud Networks at 855-255-5001 or info(at)newcloudnetworks(dot)com.
