Louisiana's Bayou Pirates Kayak Fishing Club to Host Kayak Bass Tournament Benefiting Heroes on the Water
Shreveport, LA (PRWEB) December 31, 2013 -- Bayou Pirates Kayak Fishing Club will host a kayak bass fishing tournament benefiting Heroes on the Water on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Red River National Wildlife Refuge, 150 Eagle Bend Point in Bossier City. On-site registration opens at 5:30 a.m. on the day of the tournament. The launch site for this tournament will be the new Red River National Wildlife Refuge boat launch area, which is located 0.5 miles south of the main entrance to the refuge. Registration fees are $20 per angler, with all proceeds benefiting Heroes on the Water, an organization that serves America's wounded veterans by providing healing and rehabilitating kayak fishing outings that are physically and mentally therapeutic through a nationwide community of volunteers and donors.
Tournament sponsors include Haydel’s Game Calls, SuperNova Fishing Lights, Hook 1 Kayak Fishing Gear and Hooks By Ty. Event organizers are currently seeking additional sponsors willing to donate prizes for the event, which is a "catch, photo and release" tournament.
