A new guide dedicated to end-game progression in Final Fantasy XIV has just been released by OsirisMethod.com. The new guide is completely in-line with the recent patch 2.1 changes and is available in full at http://www.osirismethod.com/ffxiv-patch-2-1-endgame-guide/.

For the uninitiated, "end game" is a term used to describe the activities and encounters undertaken by players of any massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) once they reach the end of the game. According to the new guide, the recent release of FFXIV's 2.1 patch has completely changed end-game progression for old and new players alike. While much of the new content such as Extreme Primal fights are more difficult than nearly all original content, progressing through end game in FFXIV has never been easier.

One new feature that the guide recommends new level 50 players take advantage of is the Duty Roulette system. By participating in the "Low Level Duty Roulette" and "Main Scenario Duty Roulette" options once per day, new players will be able to quickly pick up several pieces of the Darklight set while investing minimal time each day. According to the new guide, gaining a few pieces of this gear set will allow players to access higher tiers of content.

After participating in Duty Roulette for a week or two, the new guide mentions that players will then be well-enough equipped to tackle the new Crystal Tower raid released in FFXIV's 2.1 patch. This new dungeon drops equipment better than Darklight gear in addition to providing players with tokens they can use to buy additional equipment. Players should take advantage of this to speed up their gear progression according to the guide.

Finally, once players gear up through the new Duty Roulette and Crystal Tower options, they will be ready to tackle The Binding Coil of Bahamut. This latter dungeon is currently the hardest 8-person encounter in Final Fantasy XIV. Additionally, players can undertake the new Extreme Mode primal battles in order to get access to new item level 90 accessories that are amongst the best in the game.
