Imaginations Take Flight at Hagley’s 15th Annual Invention Convention
Wilmington, DE (PRWEB) January 03, 2014 -- Hagley Museum and Library celebrates fifteen years of inspiring innovation and creativity in children with an aeronautics and aerodynamics-themed Invention Convention. Reach new heights with activities like building balloon rockets and hooper gliders. Hagley’s Invention Convention is January 18, 19, and 20, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission, including supplies, is $5 per child ages 4 to 14, $7 per adult, and free for Hagley members and children 3 and under. Use Hagley’s Buck Road East entrance off Route 100.
Let children’s imaginations soar with the Franklin Institute’s traveling show, http://www..fi.edu/programs/tss/traveling-shows.html [Flight __title__ ], on January 18. This interactive program will allow visitors to explore the exciting history of flight, investigate the Bernoulli principle, and learn how airplane wings provide lift. Experience flying and landing an aircraft with the Friends of Bellanca Airfield’s flight simulator. Try on space gloves and see space suits from ILC Dover (Saturday and Sunday only).Make your own aircraft, spaceship, or out-of-this-world creation at Agilent’s Create-an-Invention Workshop using familiar household items like cereal boxes, paper towel rolls, and oatmeal containers.
