To help teenagers learn about having a career in the film or broadcast industry, Boat Angel Family Films has released its newest production, Hollywood Makeover. The nineteen part TV series is commercial-free and provides industry insight through interviews with those currently working in the filmmaking or media broadcasting industry.
Rachelle McCray, a well-known actress, NBA cheerleader and former Miss Arizona 2011, hosts each show. Every episode covers tips on movie making, including subjects such as lighting for a film, choosing the right camera, mixing and editing music for a broadcast project, working with actors and actresses, location scouting, choosing costumes for characters and distributing your independent film project. Several stations have already sent in the broadcast licenses, which are available to broadcasters on a no charge basis.
Dottie Curren, Program Director at Station PTTV Port Townsend Washington commented, “Great show! Had to find a spot for it. Have them scheduled to air in January.”
Hollywood Makeover TV series features original film material from Boat Angel Family Films, with catalogue of films is available to the public for free. Brian Stewart, Owner of Boat Angel Family Films stated, “We decided to give teenager guidance on how to make family friendly films with low budgets. When you combine that with interviews with location scouts, artists, prop people, directors and lighting techs you get pretty much a hands-on view of the film and broadcast industry. We are quite happy that several schools and community colleges have expressed an interest in using our shows in their classrooms.”
