Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 06, 2014 -- KharmaKhare, maker of a yoga mat from recycled rubber tires, announced today that it has launched a thinner and lighter version of its highly successful inaugural mat, Yoga Reincarnated.
Yoga Reincarnated Lite, as the new mat is called, is four pounds in weight and four millimeters in thickness, compared to eight pounds and seven millimeters for the Company’s existing mat.
The Company has received a great deal of praise from the yoga community with numerous positive blog reviews and being recognized by Yoga Journal magazine as the ‘ne plus ultra’ of eco-friendly yoga mats with praise for being “nonslip, durable and luxuriously thick”.
KharmaKhare dubbed Yoga Reincarnated as Earth’s best yoga mat. Purchases of the mat keep tires from being burned for crude energy or thrown into a landfill.
KharmaKhare CEO Aseem Giri commented, “The market response for our first mat was tremendous. We had a lot of requests for a lighter version. So we worked diligently to make one.”
In addition to selling online, the Company offers its products for sale in a number of studios. Most recently they have begun selling at YogaWorks, which has 24 studios nationally.
The Company offers an innovative half-price trade-in program for its mats, the first of its kind in the yoga industry. Existing owners of a KharmaKhare mat can receive a new mat at half of the list price, when they turn in their existing mat.
The Company is accepting pre-orders at a special price of $68. Pre-orders will ship at the end of January. The typical retail price will be $75. KharmaKhare has also lowered the price of its original mat to $120 from $145.
About KharmaKhare
KharmaKhare launched March 1, 2013 when the Company completed its product development. According to the Company’s website, the Company “discovered how to recycle car tires and re-birth them into non-slip, durable and thick yoga mats. We took out everything harmful to develop a material that will support your practice, last a long time, and stay out of a landfill. Our mats are hypo-allergenic. This material is also used in children’s playgrounds and has passed ingestion studies, so it is perfectly safe inside our bodies, outside our bodies and against our skin.”
The Company is patent pending for its development.
