MHF Services (MHF), a portfolio company of Relativity Capital L.P., on December 17, 2013 acquired the assets of Bull Run Metal Fabricators and Engineers, Inc. (BRM), an innovative provider of specialty metal packaging for generators and shippers of radioactive materials and waste.
For more than 20 years BRM has manufactured a comprehensive range of Low Level and Intermediate Level waste containers ranging from IP-1 to Type B that are regularly tested and evaluated to meet U.S. Department of Transportation and International Atomic Energy Agency standards for certification.
BRM will conduct business as MHF Services and all MHF staff currently located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee will relocate their offices to the new BRM manufacturing facility in Clinton, Tennessee. BRM’s Robert Ward will support MHF Services by providing sales, marketing, and new product development. Ward also is an owner of TRU-Systems, Ltd., which produces the TRU-Shield® range of lead-lined containers. As part of this agreement, MHF will become the exclusive U.S. manufacturer of the TRU-Shield® system.
William L. Follett, MHF Vice President, who will oversee all metal and soft-sided packaging operations at the Clinton, TN facility, said, “Both MHF and BRM have well established reputations for innovative and high quality packaging. Adding the capabilities of BRM and Robert Ward will enable MHF to expand its line of specialty packaging solutions for our customers.”
