LL Corpus Launches New Age Physical Therapy Equipment and Solution Business
Pompano Beach, Florida (PRWEB) January 09, 2014 -- LL Corpus Cogere, Inc. announced today the start-up of a venture committed to develop, sell, and service innovative new age physical therapy (PT) equipment and solutions designed to significantly improve rehabilitation patients positive outcomes and their quality of life conditions.
The company is the brainchild of Louise T. Lontoc, an active registered physical therapist who has successfully serviced countless patients at leading New Jersey and California outpatient sports clinics, skilled nursing home facilities, home health care setting and acute-care hospitals over the last twenty years.
LL Corpus is currently developing a collection of cutting-edge physical rehabilitation equipment through the active collaboration of engineers, physical therapists, and physicians to support disabled patients’ therapeutic intervention from facility (acute-care, hospital, rehab, nursing home) to home settings. Contrary to traditional PT solutions, key value points include enhanced mobility, compacted size and weight and innovative integration of digital technology.
The equipment provides the capability to hoist and control a patient’s body from sitting to standing and other corporeal positions throughout therapy sessions. The innovative product design eliminates multiple therapist assistance and enables patients’ freedom of movement without fear of falling. Customized sensors allow spontaneous collection and transmission of patient vital signs and body conditions to a Cloud-based service that generates real-time patient charts, accessible by physical therapists via digital phones and tablets during sessions.
LL Corpus equipment products planned for release in 2014 include:
In-Home Gait Equipment - apparatus installed to the top geography of the typical door frame supporting patient lifting and body support. The product includes tension bar and brackets, electric motor and pulley mechanism, body harness, body sensors, and monitoring software.
Improved Design Parallel Bars – improvement to traditional parallel bars with equipment supporting patient lifting and body support and includes electric motor and pulley mechanism, body harness, body sensors, and monitoring software. The patient-lifting component will also be available as a separate extension component for attachment to customers’ currently installed parallel bars.
Custom-built accessories available for integrated use with the LL Corpus In-Home Gait and Parallel Bars equipment include but not limited to: Vestibular Disc, Wobble Board, Theraband, Body Blade, Portable Steps, and Swiss Ball.
LL Corpus is also developing a Cloud-based full-function solution and services product designed to support physical therapy clinics and physical therapists effectively and efficiently manage: patient services and interactions, vital signs and body conditions monitoring, Medicare and insurance processing, PT work schedules and payroll, and a physical therapy Best Practices knowledgebase. The solution’s architecture encompasses a patient chart-centric approach versus the conventional laborious accounting and reporting focus with goals to significantly improve PT productivity, patient outcomes, and service quality.
Kevin M. O’Sullivan president and CEO stated – “Our competitive advantage is that LL Corpus equipment and solutions have substantial cross-over appeal for several healthcare fields, including rehabilitation, physical therapy, sports medicine, fitness, occupational therapy and home healthcare”. We are fortunate that our PT products are developed with superior quality (ISO 9001), functionality, performance, safety and durability and that they meet or exceed a broad array of diverse user expectations and needs.”
