FlipSee™ Launches Crowdfunding Campaign on Indiegogo
Newtown, PA (PRWEB) January 06, 2014 -- FlipSee™, a new eyewear accessory that allows people who wear glasses to quickly flip their glasses into place any time they need them, recently launched a 30-day campaign on the popular crowdfunding website, Indiegogo. FlipSee™ solves the problem of losing, scratching, or damaging your eyewear, and has been designed to be used with all type of glasses, from reading glasses and sunglasses to fit-overs and safety eyewear.
“I started to wear reading glasses a few years ago, and found that when I wasn’t using them, I was constantly searching for them,” says Dr. Erik Lier, FlipSee inventor and developer. “I even bought an eyewear chain to keep them strapped around my neck, but they were often getting in the way. But now I use FlipSee™ every day. My glasses are always available when I need them, and rest comfortably on my forehead when I don't.”
FlipSee™ is an easy-to-attach accessory for all kinds of eyewear, and has been designed to keep your eyewear resting securely on your forehead during all kinds of daily activities, including exercise. The product is made up of three parts: an elastic string with a simple pull-stop mechanism, elastic grips that attach to the temples of most glasses, and a no-slip, patent-pending nose pad which reduces pain and pressure on the forehead. When the user is in need of the glasses, they can be flipped down to ready position in a one-handed, fluid motion.
FlipSee™ eliminates the need to keep multiple pairs of glasses around the house, and the time spent searching for or repairing frequently worn eyewear. Dr. Lier adds, “I’ll suddenly need my reading glasses to read labels at a store, focus on a road sign, or even check texts on my phone. It’s convenient to have my glasses on standby in these moments.”
Funds raised from the Indiegogo campaign will be used to manufacture the product and make design adjustments based on feedback.
