Mystical pen blanks, glow after being charged in any light source. When he first introduced his glow in the dark pen blanks to the Louisville, KY Wood Craft store they immediately asked him to contact the corporate office. He had other plans and will be introducing the new products on Kickstarter, January the 6th, 2014 at 9:00 am EST. To view the Kickstarter project simply follow the link http://www.wee-glo.com
Michael will be offering hand turned Mystical Pens and hand crafted display cases on Kickstarter. He felt that with all the pen projects on Kickstarter a proper display case was needed for those who are avid collectors. Michael is offering two styles and both are made from various exotic woods including: Spalted Maple, Spalted Hackberry, Flamed Box Elder, Black Walnut and Red Cedar.
Michael is using Kickstarter to fund the production and marketing of the Mystical Pen blanks and hopes to have them available to all pen turners in the next few months.
Michael Thomas has over 12 years in research and product development using photoluminescent pigments. He has one US patent and many safety products used for building evacuation in the event of fire in a dark building.
He got his start with photoluminescent pigments following the attacks on the World Trade Centers and wanted to make a difference. He and his father, Fred Thomas, worked night and day developing safety egress products to aid in the quick evacuation of high rise buildings in the event of fire, natural disasters, or terroristic attacks. Since Michael’s father’s passing 14 months ago he has taken his own knowledge of photoluminescent technology, as well as his father’s love for woodworking and created this new product line to be showcased for all to see on Kickstarter.
