Webinar lineup kicks off the New Year with topics from the Affordable Health Care Act and How to Hire Smart

The Irvine Chamber’s Building Businesses Webinar Series, is designed to teach entrepreneurs and business owners how to raise capital, market their products, develop new business opportunities, manage finances and plan for greater prosperity. The January webinar lineup will feature topics on how to successfully run a family business, how the Affordable Healthcare Act impacts business, how to hire smart and include a quarterly entrepreneur’s roundup where several companies will present their ideas and concepts for 10 minutes each followed by a viewer-driven Q&A session. The webinars are free for all to attend, and take place every Thursday from Noon-1pm.

January 9, 2014
“Families in Business: Creating Prosperity Together”
Author and Money Coach Deborah Price will cover:

“Update on the Affordable Healthcare Act”

  •     How to make the best decisions in an unstable environment

January 23, 2014
“Entrepreneurs Roundup”
Four companies will present their innovative ideas and concepts for 10 minutes each. Viewers will be able to ask questions during the interactive Q&A. Learn about the cutting edge of business opportunities by meeting new companies before they become household names.

January 30, 2014
“Hiring Smart: Employee Background Checks”
W. Barry Nixon, SPHR, COO, will discusses effective ways to manage background screening process and will cover:

  •     The key legal requirements to consider
  •     Important questions to ask potential providers
  •     About best practices in providing background screening services
  •     Sources for finding a background screening provider
