FEECO International will be heading to Chile for the annual FLA conference.

FEECO International, a leader in fertilizer granulation technology and equipment, will be kicking off the new year with a booth at the annual Fertilizer Latino Americano Conference in Santiago, Chile this January. The three-day conference is the leading event for professionals in the Latin American fertilizer industry.

FEECO has been working in the fertilizer industry for over 60 years, helping companies around the world to create traditional fertilizers, such as MAP, DAP, and NPK, among others. Additionally, FEECO has helped companies to take their waste materials and process by-products and turn them into both traditional inorganic, as well as organic-based granular fertilizers. FEECO’s strategic alliance with Sahut-Conreur of France allows them to participate in both the compaction granulation approach to generating fertilizer granules, along with the tumble growth technology for creating pelletized products.

“The importance of granulating our wastes is only going to get more imperative as populations continue to grow, and available land decreases, all while demand for food goes up,” said Chris Kozicki, FEECO Process Sales Engineer. “Waste granulation offers an opportunity to not only reduce those wastes, but also to create improved fertilizer products for better crop nutrition.”

Key points of focus for this year’s conference include an outlook on Potash, Phosphate markets in Latin America, Sulphur supply changes, and even a look at the US shale boom’s influence on fertilizer markets in Latin America. The conference will also feature a new discussion: Spotlight on Sulphuric Acid.

As an integral member of the fertilizer industry, FEECO has been exhibiting at the FLA conference for many years. Find them at this year’s conference at booth #18.
