Wimbledon Health Partners Adds 50 Physician Consultants to the Team to Meet Growing Diagnostic Testing Demand
Boca Raton, Florida (PRWEB) January 06, 2014 -- Wimbledon Health Partners, a leading on-site diagnostic testing company providing physicians’ vascular, echocardiogram and NCV testing with a turn-key program that provides quality, state-of-the-art, in-office testing procedures, has seen tremendous internal growth. In order to keep pace with the growing national demand of in-office diagnostic testing, Wimbledon has ramped up their National Physician Consultant team. Over the last thirty days, Wimbledon Health Partners has added an additional fifty professional physician consultants to their team.
The growing national demand for quality and convenient diagnostic testing outside the confines of the hospital walls has been a key driver to Wimbledon’s growing success. Previously, patients could only access diagnostic testing as an out-patient procedure in hospitals or free standing diagnostic centers, where scheduling and conditions could be sub-optimal. Wimbledon’s in-office model has made local physicians take notice and sign on as participating Affiliates.
Director of Physician Consultants David Kroupa stated, “Physicians were so taken with this approach, both from the aspect of making life easier for their patients and ensuring the necessary testing was completed in a timely manner, we have had nothing but a positive response.”
Kroupa went on to mention, “Response from physicians nationwide was so overwhelming we had to immediately ramp up our outside physician consultants to meet the need and address all markets.”
An additional driver to the growing success of in-office diagnostics is the focus on preventative care and wellness. Heart disease the number one killer for both males and females can be detected by diagnostic testing and is now encouraged through the Affordable Care Act. This and other diagnostic testing procedures are now becoming part of the wellness routine as physicians are looking to diagnosis those in the early stage of disease.
Vascular Centers of America (VCOA) is a national network of physician practices providing on-site vascular and echocardiogram testing services for circulatory conditions. VCOA operates within the confines of the physician’s office to increase the overall comfort and experience of the patient receiving the test. Trained technicians conduct testing while board certified radiologist and cardiologist read and prepare reports.
NeuroRad Diagnostic Centers (NDC) offers a full range of electrodiagnostic testing with a focus on nerve conduction velocity testing. Similar to the VCOA model, NDC operates out of the physician’s office to provide the patients with the optimal diagnostic testing experience. Trained technicians conduct the tests while board certified neurologist and radiologist provide interpretive reports and objective documentation.
