KCD Public Relations Inc. ("KCD PR"), a boutique public relations and marketing firm, announced today that it has been presented with a Gold Award in the 2013 MarCom Awards competition for its work with Capstone Affluent Strategies, an Irvine, Calif.-based wealth management and investment banking firm. The agency’s entry centered on the team’s effort to successfully launch and position the newly formed Capstone as a reputable brand in the financial services industry, which MarCom judges deemed "to exceed the high standards of the industry norm."
There were over 6,500 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in this year’s competition.

KCD PR also worked to generate buzz about the new firm among the financial advisory community by securing media exposure in almost a dozen Southern California, national and trade publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Advisor Magazine, Investment News and The Orange County Register.
The MarCom Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence. Winners were selected from over 200 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts- marketing, publications, marketing/promotion, public service/pro bono, creativity and electronic/interactive.
