The app features an interactive story based on the hilarious animated family film during which Surly the squirrel goes on an adventure of a lifetime when his independent nature gets him kicked out of the park and into the big city. He then becomes an unlikely hero when he spots Maury’s Nut Shop just in time to help the park animals get ready for winter. The app allows kids to experience this high-stakes, nutty caper in an interactive format that includes four fun activities so kids can participate along with the movie characters. The app is available for an introductory price of 99 cents on the Apple App Store, Amazon Appstore for Android, Google Play and the Barnes & Noble NOOK Store (full price is $1.99).
Open Road Films will release The Nut Job movie nationwide on January 17th. The Nut Job is a co-production between Redrover Co., Ltd, ToonBox Entertainment, and Gulfstream Pictures.
