Metalogix Chief Evangelist Awarded Microsoft Sharepoint MVP For Third Consecutive Year
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) January 07, 2014 -- Metalogix today announced that Christian Buckley, Metalogix Director of Product Evangelism and Microsoft MVP, has been named a recipient of the prestigious Microsoft SharePoint Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award for the third year in a row.
Microsoft’s MVP award is given to leaders in the Microsoft community who advance the adoption and user proficiency of SharePoint. In his community leadership role, Buckley has become one of the most visible SharePoint MVPs in the industry by speaking at or keynoting events worldwide. He is known for his prolific writing, including over 250 articles per year focusing on IT business decision-makers and helping organizations better understand the power of SharePoint.
“I’m humbled and grateful to be recognized by Microsoft as an MVP and to have the opportunity to work alongside technology leaders,” said Buckley. “It’s a big year for the SharePoint community, with options for cloud, social and mobile. Personally, I’m going to continue focusing on hybrid SharePoint environments, ongoing governance issues, and new ways organizations can create value, rather than simply managing content.”
The award positions Buckley and Metalogix for another year of exclusive engagements with Microsoft through its product teams, regional events and MVP Global Summit.
“Christian’s MVP award is a testament to the value he brings both to the SharePoint community at large and to the Metalogix brand in particular,” said Steven Murphy, CEO, Metalogix. “I know that Christian’s continued work to educate and empower SharePoint administrators will enable Metalogix customers, partners and the global SharePoint ecosystem achieve great things this year.”
Buckley, who joined Metalogix last year with the acquisition of Axceler’s SharePoint content management software business, has also been named top contributor by CMS Wire and a top SharePoint influencer by Forbes. In his role as MVP this year, he will present at Microsoft’s SharePoint Conference in March to be held in Las Vegas, focusing on hybrid SharePoint scenarios, and will be a keynote of the European SharePoint Conference taking place in Barcelona this May.
