Lucas is a very talented artist and is bound to be very successful.

The 2013 L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future Award winner Lucas Durham of Chicago has been invited to have a feature page of his winning artwork, Dreameater, in internationally acclaimed Imagine FX magazine. His artwork will be featured in a spring issue of the magazine.

L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future contest judges Dave Dorman (Star Wars) and Larry Elmore (Dungeons and Dragons) both contribute to the magazine on an annual basis.    

Since winning the contest last year Lucas has also exhibited his artwork alongside contest judge Dave Dorman at a library convention in Chicago.

"Lucas is a very talented artist and is bound to be very successful," contest judge Steven Hickman stated at the Illustrators of the Future award ceremony in April of 2013.

The L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future contest, started in 1989 as a complement to the existing Writers of the Future contest. As they are free-to-enter the now famous L. Ron Hubbard's Writers and Illustrators of the Future enjoys amazing success with thousands of entrants yearly, from all parts of the world. Created by best-selling author L. Ron Hubbard, the contest has to date launched the careers of 11 New York Times bestselling authors and scores of illustrators careers.
