Collaborative Consulting Achieves 100 Employee Milestone in Wausau
Wausau, WI (PRWEB) January 07, 2014 -- Collaborative Consulting, an information technology services firm, announced today that the company has just hit the 100 mark in new employees hired since opening its doors in November of 2011 at the Collaborative Domestic Solution Center (CDSC) in Wausau, Wisconsin. Many of the 100 IT software jobs would have previously gone overseas before the Collaborative site opened.
In addition to the number of new jobs, the company is also fulfilling its commitment to provide customized training for new hires, including local college graduates and experienced professionals. Collaborative is still looking to add even more employees to its location in Wausau to help achieve its goal of adding 200 new jobs to the local economy.
Governor Scott Walker and Mayor James Tipple were both pivotal in attracting the CDSC to Wausau.

Collaborative chose Wausau in 2011 for its Collaborative Domestic Solutions Center initiative, an effort to significantly reduce or eliminate the increasing challenges encountered in offshore service delivery, while still keeping the cost of service significantly lower than traditional models now used in India, China, and other overseas locations. The City of Wausau has been an important partner to Collaborative in recruiting and hiring local residents.
“One hundred employees at the CDSC is a huge milestone for us,” said John Williams, Senior Vice President of Services at Collaborative Consulting. “It’s proof that the onshoring model is successful; our clients are seeing the value we can provide in terms of increased productivity and quality at a better price in comparison to other models.”
Collaborative IT specialists in Wausau work with large- and medium-sized companies to help them develop the software needs for their products and services and to manage their data projects.
For many years, companies needing IT help went overseas for that work. Collaborative researched the best locations in the U.S. to perform that work and the Wausau site was selected.
