Gabriel Pediatrics, a NY-based comprehensive pediatric care practice, responds to an article published by The Dispatch on January 6th, which reports on the ideals of positive morale at Le Luz de Cristo Ministries in Nicaragua.
According to the article by The Dispatch titled “Pediatrician helps with growing ministry,” Dr. Beatriz Juncadella is building a pediatric center, which focuses on building a positive atmosphere.
The article states that Dr. Juncadella currently works for both Thomasville Pediatrics and La Luz de Cristo Ministries, which she co-founded in 2009. In order to operate, the ministry needs private donations and fundraising. Dr. Juncadella elaborates on the mission behind the ministry. "We're focusing on children who are preschool to 12 years of age. We want to promote to them positive values. We want to instill integrity in young people, teach them obedience and honesty and how to be a leader," Juncadella explained.
Michael Gabriel of Gabriel Pediatrics believes that Dr. Juncadella’s efforts are extremely admirable. “Dr. Juncadella is doing everything in her power to help her community get access to health care,” he says. “She lives in a country that doesn’t have a lot of money and resources, making it extremely hard to effectively fundraise. However, Dr. Juncadella is making strides despite these hardships and for that we here at Gabriel Pediatrics truly admire Dr. Juncadella and her hard work.”
