(PRWEB UK) 9 January 2014 -- Educational standards watchdog Ofsted has awarded kidsunlimited's Teddington nursery an 'outstanding' rating for the second inspection in a row, hailing the high standards of childcare on offer and the close working relationship between staff and parents.
The inspection - which took place in November - found that children attending kidsunlimited Teddington were "independent, active learners" benefiting from "well-resourced environments." In addition, Ofsted stated that the children were making "excellent progress" thanks to the nursery's "highly-skilled" staff, who it said took a keen interest in the progress of each individual.
"At kidsunlimited we take great pride in providing high-quality childcare, so we were delighted that our Teddington nursery received such fulsome praise from Ofsted," said Mandy Prentice, Nursery Manager at kidsunlimited. "To have received an 'outstanding' rating in two successive inspections is a real testament to the skill and dedication of the staff at kidsunlimited Teddington."
The Ofsted inspectors singled kidsunlimited Teddington's emphasis on close staff-parent collaboration out for high praise, with both parties working effectively to ensure that the "individual needs of babies and children are ably met."
In addition, the Ofsted team found that kidsunlimited Teddington's management had "considerable expertise" in analysing and deploying data to drive up teaching standards. The inspectors also observed that the nursery's management provided staff with effective support so that they could become "reflective practitioners" consistently striving for "continuous improvement."
