Univ. of Colorado Boulder’s Center of Advanced Engineering and Technology Unveils New ‘Engineering Anywhere’ Platform & Online Presence
Boulder, CO (PRWEB) January 07, 2014 -- The University of Colorado Boulder College of Engineering and Applied Science has launched a new online presence for the Center for Advanced Engineering and Technology Education (CAETE). The website unveils the program’s “Engineering Anywhere” platform, highlighting its online and on-campus engineering programs, certificates, and dual degrees and reinforcing that students from around the world can obtain an engineering graduate degree from the University. Starting today, Engineering Anywhere can be found at EngineeringAnywhere.Colorado.edu.
In planning the next generation platform, students, faculty, staff and online visitors were surveyed on the most important attributes in website design. No surprise, an overwhelming majority (84%) indicated that ‘easy access’ was critical. “People demand an enriched and integrated learning experience, starting with investigating distance education options through completing a program and earning their graduate degree or certificate,” states Dr. David J. Fusco, Director of CAETE. “It is incumbent upon us to provide the best overall experience for every person we interact with.”
“Engineering Anywhere is designed to help optimize each student’s experience. It is more than a new website – it’s a route to a better kind of educational experience. We’re rolling out brand new content and an in-depth collection of tutorials, guides, and ideas for the student who wants to make the most of their educational experience,” Fusco continues.
The Engineering Anywhere platform is designed to make the program more relevant, adaptive, and personalized. “It enhances the emotional connection between the program and students. We researched and tested techniques to find the most effective tools to create a place to learn about distance course availability and access, as well as our Engineering Management and Interdisciplinary Telecommunication programs,” states Nalini Indorf Kaplan, Associate Director of Strategy and Engagement. “The Engineering Anywhere platform provides aspiring professionals with many applied educational tools to help them enhance their careers. It also exemplifies the University’s continued leadership position in the field of distance education, as we celebrate CAETE’s 30th Anniversary.”
Engineering Anywhere enables students to earn a Master of Engineering, Master of Science, graduate certificates, or credit for individual courses in a way that works best for each individual. A service of the Center for Advanced Engineering and Technology Education for more than 30 years, Engineering Anywhere makes high–quality education attainable for students who are unable to participate on campus. Via live class recordings and a course library of previously recorded lectures, Engineering Anywhere provides the opportunity to continue education and professional development while working conveniently within time constraints and career demands.
Consistently ranked as one of the best online graduate resources, CAETE delivers distance learning from virtually anywhere around the world. It gives professionals the power to reach educational goals without ever setting foot in a classroom. Recently, Affordable Colleges Online named CAETE as one of the top 35 colleges revolutionizing online education.
