Marci Brand, President of Creative Marketing Concepts, Inc., has joined the faculty of the University of DC Community College. Ms. Brand will be teaching Introduction to Property Management which is a pilot offering through the community college’s Workforce Development Program.
The course will be offered to any qualified adult resident of the District of Columbia and will begin in late January. The 15 week course will address apartment leasing skills, budgeting, creating a marketing plan and other aspects of property management. Upon completion of the course, students will be eligible to test for the National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) certification.
“I am thrilled to be able to work with people who are interested in entering the field of property management,” said Ms. Brand. “The Workforce Development Program’s mission of helping job hunters develop skills that local employers require is well timed as there is a growing need for qualified property management professionals.”
Ms. Brand has been involved in property management for more than 25 years and has been responsible for the training and development of property management professionals nationwide. In 1990, Ms. Brand founded Creative Marketing Concepts, a marketing and consulting firm specializing in multi family residential marketing. She has spoken nationally on a variety of topics concerning property management professionals. Ms. Brand is currently featured in a leasing webinar series for property management professionals.
