"Body of Souls," the third novel in author Mark T. Bacome’s Descendants Series, is now available on Amazon.com. The follow-up to 2012’s "Descendants" and 2013’s "Hereditary Evil," “Body of Souls” is a science fiction suspense thriller that takes place in the year 15,676 AD. In the series, Mr. Bacome skillfully creates a world in which the human race has been free from violence for over ten thousand years. The gene that was thought to have caused violent behavior in humans has been engineered into extinction. Every record of the gene and the behavior it caused has been censored and locked away. Possession of any data pertaining to the violent period of humanity’s history is deemed illegal and the consequences extreme. The series follows the plight of protagonist Kutch, an employee of Corporate, the single remaining state-corporate complex. When Kutch infiltrates Corporate’s database, he uncovers records of the world’s secret ancient history of wars, crime and brutality and a truth about human nature that Corporate will stop at nothing to keep classified.
Set against this backdrop, "Body of Souls" sees Kutch deciding to take on a new adventure: searching for an ancient repository of books. It’s a search that may lead to more answers about the history of humanity on Earth than Kutch ever expected.
