Get Scheduled, Cloud Based Scheduling Software, Selected as the Volunteer Management Solution for The European Archery Festival 2014
Abingdon, Oxfordshire (PRWEB UK) 10 January 2014 -- Get Scheduled’s workforce management and employee scheduling software (http://www.getscheduled.co.uk/getscheduled/employee-scheduling-software) has been selected as the volunteer management solution for The European Archery Festival 2014 in association with T.R.U. Ball Release/Axcel Sights (http://www.europeanarcheryfestival.com/).
The European Archery Festival 2014 combines Stage 3 of World Archery’s 2013/14 Indoor World Cup, with an archery trade show and tournament, with over 1000 archers competing for part of a £20,000 prize fund.
It is the first Indoor World Cup to utilise a fully online event management system and Get Scheduled’s cloud-based employee scheduling software has been selected to schedule and communicate with the 60 volunteers taking part in the 3-day event.
Chris Wells, Services Manager for the European Archery Festival said Get Scheduled was chosen for its “simplicity and maneuverability.” He added, “Compared to my past experience with solutions that wouldn’t let me work in the way I wanted, Get Scheduled has been helpful, useful and a breeze to learn. After just 2 hours I was up and running.”
Get Scheduled’s General Manager, Jane Webber said, “We are delighted in working with Sport:80® to provide the volunteer management solution to this event and we look forward to partnering with them for future sporting events in the UK in 2014.”
Get Scheduled has provided volunteer management solutions at sporting events such as The ICC Champions Trophy 2013 and London Olympics 2012 for The London Ambassadors, as well as ongoing employee scheduling solutions to companies in the UK regardless of size of workforce.
The European Archery Festival is the first joint venture for Get Scheduled Limited and Sport:80® Limited, and marks the beginning of a partnership between the two management systems. Sport:80® are responsible for the organisation of the festival, and their tournament management system is being used to manage event registrations, logistics and delivery. The partnership provides sports organisers with the online tools to manage all aspects of a sporting event.
With 2013 Cabinet office figures reporting a resurgence in volunteering, reversing a steady decline seen since 2005, effective volunteer management software (http://www.getscheduled.co.uk/volunteer-management-software) is an important consideration for any organisation.
The European Archery Festival is taking place 24-26 January 2014 at the Telford International Centre, UK.
