Enhancements to Certrec’s Inspection Tracking System Allow Licensing Professionals to Search, Organize, and Graph Inspection Findings Across all U.S Nuclear Facilities
Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) January 09, 2014 -- Certrec, a leading licensing and regulatory compliance provider for NRC and NERC compliance, and a recognized industry expert in the Reactor Oversight Process (ROP), announced today the launch of an enhanced version of its web-based Inspection Tracking System.
Certrec’s Inspection Tracking System (ITS) is a database of Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection findings across all nuclear power facilities in the United States allowing users to search, organize, and graph inspection findings with extreme fidelity.
“We’re excited to launch an enhanced version of ITS,” says Ted Enos, President of Certrec. “Version 2 offers regulatory specialists substantially improved research, trending, and reporting capabilities for tracking and managing the full spectrum of the inspection and ROP process and the ROP.”
Resource-strapped compliance specialists, struggling with too much information, will appreciate the Inspection Tracking System’s enhancements including, but not limited to:
- Updated user interface
- Four pre-set graphs on home page showing regional data
- Enhanced advanced search capability
- Ability to save trend reports and searches
- Ability to 'pin' findings into groups for later research
- Trend report graphs that allow for 'on the fly' adjustments to the report
- Hover descriptors for all graph entries
- Interactive graphs that provide drill-down information upon click
The enhanced version of the Inspection Tracking System is the effort of many Certrec experts and clients over the past 20 months. Not only does ITS v2 allow searching by multiple criteria including plant type, vendor, identifier, enforcement action, type of finding, color of finding, severity level, and cross-cutting aspects – it also displays results in color-coded bar and column graphs and pie charts of easy of analysis.
“Identifying issues such as NRC findings versus NRC findings with aspect, or identifying cross-cutting aspects with human performance or problem identification and resolution issues is easy with ITS 2’s graphing capabilities,” notes Enos. “ITS’ graphical dashboard allows our users to visually understand trending for individual plants, fleets or regions across all issues quickly and easily.”
