Join NETA at TechCon USA in February
Portage, Michigan (PRWEB) January 09, 2014 -- On February 3-6, 2014, leading electrical utility providers and professionals will convene in Glendale, Arizona, at the TJH2B Analytical Services 19th Annual TechCon North America 2014, an annual conference hosted by Salt River Project. This year’s educational and networking event will be held at the beautiful Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. Joining an exemplary roster of industry partners demonstrating the newest technologies, products, and services, NETA today announced it will present the Best Practices for Complying with NERC/WEC – FAC-501-WEEC-1 Transmission Maintenance and TMIP Planning.
Due to recent NERC regulations requiring routine utility maintenance planning, testing, and reporting, NETA has developed a timely presentation to shed light on the ANSI/NETA MTS Standard for Maintenance Testing Specifications for Electrical Power Equipment and Systems, 2011. This documentation is the reliable go-to resource for developing maintenance plan specifications and schedules and is used extensively by utilities to create the documentation and programs required for NERC maintenance compliance. Utilities can apply this ANSI standard through in-house service personnel or can outsource these services to NETA Accredited Companies.
Additionally, the exciting three-day TechCon conference will include:
• A bonus Monday workshop hosted by Omicron
• Tuesday workshop - Monitoring & Diagnostics Tools for Substation Assets
• Transformer Life Cycle Discovery Series
• Panel sessions and training tracks on circuit breakers, tap-changers, monitoring equipment, insulating fluids, capital planning, acoustic testing, SF6 replacement, bushing monitoring, and OLTC diagnostics
• Interactive round tables
• Industry exposition
NETA extends an invitation to NETA members and Alliance Partners! Register today for TechCon North America, and visit us in booth # 1414 at the TechCon Exposition. Register for TechCon USA by clicking http://www.techcon.info/index.php/techcon-north-america-2014-registration.
