Boomeon Announces Launch of Next-Generation Baby Boomer Online Community
(PRWEB) January 09, 2014 -- Florida-based startup Boomeon is announcing that its online community for Baby Boomers has launched and is now open to all Baby Boomers looking for an online home. Boomeon is free and features a mixture of content provided by Boomeon’s expert contributors, as well as user-generated content.
Boomeon is organized around the concept of topic groups so that all of the information and activity on the site is organized in a consistent manner, allowing users to easily discover and interact with content that interests them. Boomeon’s bespoke content is provided by experts on a wide range of topics relating to health, lifestyle, relationships, and money. Users are also given the tools to create and manage their own public or private topic groups, and can then blog or start their own discussions in those groups.
According to Boomeon CEO and founder Bill Murphy, Boomeon was started with the idea of giving Baby Boomers a modern web destination that was unlike any other. “There’s 78 million of us Boomers in the United States alone,” said Murphy. “A lot of us love to read great content but don’t interact much online. And a lot of us don’t read as much, but love interacting socially online. Boomeon melds those two things together into a whole that’s greater than the sum of its parts and wraps the whole thing up using clean and modern design. It truly is a place for Boomers unlike any other – and it’s only getting better.”
Although public content on Boomeon can be read by anyone, user accounts are required in order to create or comment on content. User accounts are free on Boomeon. All interested parties are invited to visit Boomeon at http://www.boomeon.com.
