Alliance for Women in Media Announces Formation of New Student Affiliate
McLean, VA (PRWEB) January 09, 2014 -- The Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) is pleased to announce the formation of its newest student affiliate at the University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, Texas. The AWM UIW Student Affiliate was launched with the guidance and support of the San Antonio Media Alliance, an AWM professional affiliate. Expanding its reach with students is indicative of AWM’s commitment to fostering the future growth of women in the media.
“The Alliance for Women in Media is delighted to welcome the AWM UIW Student Affiliate,” said Kay Olin, AWM National Chair. “This new student‐led affiliate is a wonderful opportunity for UIW media students to increase their knowledge of the industry, make professional connections and gain an advantage when they enter the workforce.”
