Online Store Opening
While attending Ultra festival in Miami, newly launched Turn Up CEO Andrew Laine devised the website idea to fill a void in the party retail market by opening an online store. After years of promoting club parties at places like Blagio, Tabu and DNA/Club one and recently completing a bachelor degree in entrepreneurship from Hofstra University, Andrew noticed an opportunity to give back to the partying community. He founded Turn Up as a one-stop online swag shop for partying gear and accessories, with everything to get dressed for a night out, from glow sticks to black cocktail attire. Andrew’s store celebrates partying as a lifestyle with reoccurring themes of (1) individuality, (2) creativity, (3) color and energy (as a sidenote, the colors of Turn Up are black, red, orange, and white).

First Giveaway
To mark its first year of inception, Turn Up is hosting a giveaway that includes a three-day pass to the 2014 Ultrafest, airfare to Miami, transportation in a Cadillac “Escalade”, and a package stay for two at Hotel Savoy, conveniently located right in the heart of South Beach, Miami, Florida. The campaign has been dubbed “Live The Turn Up.” Those who are interested in signing up can do so at http://www.livetheturnup.com/.

Helping Andrew out are fellow fresh college graduates, childhood friend Amanda Brody (Office Manager) and Jeffrey Geiringer (Creative Director). Amanda hails from Queens, NY, and currently resides in the Lower East Side. Amanda has taken part in festivals in cities all over the world, including Ibiza. Jeffrey is a veteran of the frigid Syracuse, NY party scene, and brings to the Turn Up team experience as the graphic artist of the witch house record label Baku Shad-do. Outside the party scene, Jeffrey is most likely to be found at the Gastropub for open mic in Fort Greene, practicing his unique flavor of standup tragedy. Finally, bringing experience from various walks of life, Helen Yang (Writer) synthesizes the creative energies at Turn Up into a final online form. Currently residing in Flushing, NY, Helen has partied in cities outside of New York from L.A. to Shanghai.

In its first year, Turn Up aims to be a competitive one-stop online retailer for partying gear and accessories. The site, found at http://www.turnupgear.com is essentially a tribute to everything related to “partying and debauchery”; an effort to keep the masses pumping to the beat before, during, and long after final call. The brand offers party tricks and tips, fashion updates, and the latest customizable looks and accessories, among other tidbits, for a good night out.
