“The food is just as good as in San Antonio. Well priced, service with a smile. I even had help to my car since I had my baby with me. Thank you Thomas!! We'll be back!!!” Yismo R., Facebook comment
The beginnings for Green Vegetarian Cuisine was humble. The dream of a vegetarian restaurant was created by Executive Chef Mike, whom was renowned in San Antonio for his chicken-fried steak and five-pound cinnamon rolls. However after becoming vegetarian and loosing 70 pounds, Mike took step towards introducing a plant based diet to South Central Texas when he opened Green in January 2007. Since then the restaurant has expanded to two San Antonio locations, and has received numerous awards in recognition of its accomplishments.
Houston’s location helps close the gap in reaching Green Vegetarian Cuisine’s goal to share the benefits of a plant based diet and be a more sustainable restaurant -- in hopes that others are influenced to do the same.
