San Diego, CA (PRWEB) January 09, 2014
Fresh Healthy Vending International, Inc. (OTC Markets: VEND), a leading healthy vending franchisor, announced its largest single sale of 2013 with newly appointed franchisees, husband and wife team, Jerry and Yvonne Johnson out of North Carolina.
Last month, the couple purchased 24 Fresh Healthy Vending Combo machines and six Fresh Healthy Touch machines to own and operate in North Carolina.
“Just as Yvonne and I were looking for a new business opportunity we could work on together, I heard about the Fresh Healthy Vending franchise,” said Jerry Johnson. “After learning more about the business model, we discovered that we were entering a progressive industry that would not require full-time attention, and would allow us to make healthy snack options available for our community.”
With his single purchase of 30 machines, the two will work as franchisees to service locations secured by Fresh Healthy Vending’s locations department throughout a 30-mile radius of Raleigh, as well as in North Carolina's Robeson, Scotland, Hoke and Cumberland Counties.
“Jerry and Yvonne Johnson came to Fresh Healthy Vending after selling a successful car dealership in North Carolina, looking for a new venture that had meaning, along with the potential financial returns they desired; something they believed in, most importantly,” said Alex Kennedy, CEO of Fresh Healthy Vending. “Jerry sits on the board for the local hospital and both are devoted to their community through their work for charities and activities centered around health and children. With the couple’s current involvement and presence throughout the region, we expect their venture into healthy vending to be rewarding for them both personally and professionally.”
December 2013 also marked the largest aggregate sales of Fresh Healthy Touch machines with a total of 20 sold to various franchisees, including the Johnsons. The interactive, user-focused machine boasts a 46-inch, 3D touchscreen powered by Intel Processor and is now available for purchase by current and new Fresh Healthy Vending franchisees.
“From the first phone call, we have been exceptionally pleased with the entire franchise process. It’s clear that the Fresh Healthy Vending team is passionate about their movement to spread health and wellness across the nation, but they’re also extremely invested in educating franchisees about how to maximize their respective businesses,” said Jerry Johnson. “In addition to the traditional Fresh Healthy Vending machines we’ve purchased, we believe the Touch machines will add an interactive element to healthy vending that will enhance the user experience and increase overall sales. We are genuinely excited to get the machines installed throughout our territory.”
The new machines provide local customers access to healthy snack and beverage options, such as smoothies, natural juices, fruit, granola bars, baked chips and natural sodas.
“With nationwide laws taking effect in 2014 banning junk food from school vending machines along with other new health programs on the upswing, our new and existing franchisees are seeing even more attractive opportunities for healthy vending options in locations throughout their communities and beyond,” Kennedy explained.
