Arizona Self-Storage Association Announces 2014 Conference
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) January 13, 2014 -- The Arizona Self-Storage Association (AZSA) is pleased to announce that its 2014 Conference and Trade Show will be held May 12-14, 2014. Returning to Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino in Chandler, Ariz., this year’s event promises great things to the Arizona self-storage community.
The event starts with a new venue for the annual golf tournament on May 12 at Whirlwind Golf Course at Wild Horse Pass. A new format will feature contests, incentives, and prizes to entice all self-storage golf enthusiasts who wish to combine golf and business in a perfect pairing.
On May 13 and 14, attendees will be treated to an exciting two-day program with powerhouse speakers including Business, Leadership, and Sales Keynote Speaker Jim Jackson, author of “Power to Change: You Always Have A Choice.” Also featured on stage will be special guest speaker, Phoenix Police Officer Jason Schechterle, whose police car was rear-ended and burst into flames more than 12 years ago. Burned over 90 percent of his body, Jason rose from the ashes of that accident to become one of Arizona’s most inspiring leaders.
Other speakers this year include Chuck Barbo of Catalyst Storage, formerly Chairman, CEO and Founder of Shurguard Storage, who will speak on the State of the Industry; Doug McCarron of Jones Lang LaSalle, reporting on the Arizona Self-Storage Market Study and sharing insights into today’s capital markets; Sue Haviland of Haviland Storage Service - Self-Storage 101, with operational training tips; and Marketing Coach Connie Kandansky, who will provide an excellent presentation on sales techniques.
The trade show will include 70 vendors, who will share the latest products and services with over 350 self-storage professionals from the Arizona market. The floor will be open on both days of the trade show, complete with food and beverage offerings, and will be the site of the opening reception.
Wild Horse Pass is a AAA Four Diamond hotel and casino with comfortably appointed rooms, a 100,000-square-foot casino, nightclub, 4 lounges, and 8 restaurants including Shula’s Steakhouse and Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill. And it is adjacent to the new 50-store outlet mall for great shopping!
