Hotel Andaluz Launches Search for Couples Married at the Hotel in Past 75 Years
Albuquerque, NM (PRWEB) January 10, 2014 -- Hotel Andaluz, a leader in eco-friendly hotels based in Albuquerque and the first hotel in New Mexico constructed by Conrad Hilton, will be celebrating its 75th Anniversary in June 2014. As part of commemorating the hotel’s history, Hotel Andaluz is asking couples who were married at the hotel in the last 75 years to submit wedding photos which will be displayed in the hotel’s lobby starting in late January. The call for photos is exclusive to weddings that took place at the hotel when it was the Hilton, La Posada de Albuquerque, Hotel Plaza and Albuquerque Hilton.
“Hotel Andaluz has been one of Albuquerque’s premier wedding destinations since the hotel’s inception as the Albuquerque Hilton Hotel in 1939,” said John O’Hara, General Manager of Hotel Andaluz. “Through this photo collage, we hope to share with our guests not only the rich history of the hotel, but the many memories others have made during weddings here at the hotel in the last 75 years. We look forward to continuing to create these memories for the many couples who will celebrate their special day here at Andaluz for years to come.”
Hotel Andaluz will be giving a Valentine’s Day concert dinner and anniversary celebration to the longest married couple to submit a photo for the collage. The dinner for two will be on Valentine’s Day in the hotel’s Casablanca room, and will feature a performance by prominent pianist and composer Alexander J. Schwarzkopf, and cellist David Schepps. The couple will also receive an anniversary celebration for themselves and up to eight guests on or around the date of their wedding anniversary. The celebration will include tapas for family and friends and an overnight stay for the anniversary couple in one of the hotel’s Romance Suites, based on availability.
Photos can be submitted to [email protected]. Please include the couple’s name, year of wedding, age of couple and contact information. Photos can also be submitted via Hotel Andaluz’s Twitter and Facebook pages using the hashtag #LoveAndaluz.
