Linfield Online Degree Program Ranked One of Best in Nation
McMinnville, OR (PRWEB) January 10, 2014 -- The online degree program at Linfield College was rated one of the best in the nation in a recently released U.S. News & World Report survey.
Linfield was one of only four schools in the Pacific Northwest included in the rankings. Linfield’s online degree program, which complements its campus-based liberal arts and sciences curriculum, ranks 97 in the nation.
The rankings are based on criteria which include student engagement with faculty and classmates; faculty credentials and training; peer reputation; diverse online learning technologies that allow students greater flexibility; and student services that provide a strong support structure.
“The online bachelor’s degree program at Linfield College appeals to students who work full time and have family responsibilities,” said Janet Gifford, associate director of the school’s Adult Degree Program. “With an average age of 37, our online students come to us at different stages of life and it’s important that we support all of them with online courses and student services designed for their academic success.”
Linfield ranked 123 in the U.S. News & World Report survey of the nation’s best liberal arts colleges released in September.
