The Continuing Education of the Bar Conferences will be held in Sacramento on January 11 and in San Francisco on January 25 with John Demas of Demas Law Group in Sacramento as one of the featured speakers. For the third consecutive year, Mr. Demas will be a featured speaker at the course section entitled "Torts Practice: The Year In Review." The CEB class will include information on many aspects of personal injury and is designed for both plaintiff and defense attorneys. The speakers will summarize key cases involving torts as well as changes to the law that affect civil trial practice.
The classes will feature discussions on many aspects of civil law such as negligence, bad faith, damages and emotional distress. The discussions may range from financial and business torts, government tort liability, civil rights and intentional torts. Of particular interest to attorneys may be the discussion of insurance litigation topics including agents and brokers, Cumis counsel and policy interpretation.
