I'm particularly excited about Linkedin, because it's been a tremendous help for getting students into my SEO classes. I'm totally sold on being active on LinkedIn!

Search Engine Academy Washington DC (SEA DC) is sponsoring four business strategy lunch sessions offered by the Capital Area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CAGLCC). These luncheons are the Technology Series that is part of their monthly Business Matters Lunch held the last Friday of each month in Washington DC.

The first luncheon is Linked In For Business - how and why you should use this social media platform, as well as leveraging the power of the new LinkedIn company pages and other effective strategies LinkedIn can be used to promote your business and attract new clients. Christopher Wood, Co-Founder of the LGBT Technology Partnership, will talk about specific ways businesses can use LinkedIn.

The first one is January 31. The next three Technology Business Matters Lunches will be the last Friday in March, May and July, 2014.

All luncheons are at The HON Company Showroom, 1101 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Suite 300, Washington DC.

According to Nancy E. Wigal, the owner of SEA DC, "the reason why I'm getting involved is because SEA DC gets involved in more than just organic and PPC SEO. Technology issues for websites, servers and web analytics are a part of an SEOer's tasks and service offerings. It's not enough to just do pure search engine optimization tasks and processes to be really useful to clients and students."

In a round table discussion, SEA DC will lead and moderate the talk. "My job is to kick-start the discussion, then let members and guests ask and answer questions about the specific subject. I'm particularly excited about LinkedIn, because it's been a tremendous help for getting students into my SEO classes. I'm totally sold on being active on LinkedIn!"

Any business owner who is either LGBTQ or LGBTQ-friendly who lives and works in the Washington DC area is welcome to attend; there is a fee for non-members. Register here to attend.
