Onehub, an enterprise file sharing service, recently published a case study, https://onehub.com/customers/nhss, showcasing their client New Horizon Security Services. New Horizon Security Services (NHSS) is a family owned armed and unarmed security services firm in Virginia. Their staff of 400+ employees provides services statewide for shopping malls, private companies, government agencies and more.

Kate Painter, Communications and Public Relations Specialist at NHSS worked with Onehub to create the case study. In it, they discuss the special needs of a security services firm and how their files must be securely stored and properly managed while also providing accessibility to the right people. NHSS was using another file sharing software but choose to switch to Onehub because it was secure and easy to use, and it also provided better sharing permissions than their previous file sharing software.

NHSS uses Onehub for their client portal needs (learn about Onehub's client portals at https://onehub.com/solutions/client-portal). This allows employees to easily access files, forms, centralized benefits info, company updates, newsletters, links to online timesheets, training info, and more. NHSS employees use the portal to assign tasks to their colleagues and for online file sharing (learn about Onehub's online file sharing at https://onehub.com/solutions/secure-file-sharing). With 400+ employees, and hundreds of files uploaded to the Onehub client portal, NHSS needed a system that would allow them to closely manage who can share the files and to what extent.

They found that Onehub was easier to use and offered them more capabilities, such as the ability to control file access and usage, view files without downloading them, and customize client portals.
“Being able to limit Onehub’s functions to certain users or files helps us keep things private or make them public as we need,” says Painter.

Use of Onehub is so ingrained at New Horizon that learning it is part of every employee’s orientation. As Painter puts it, “It seems like it’s been here forever now, so often do we use it. It’s easy, customizable, and a great communications tool.”
