Carlsbad-based ARAMCO Group Aids International Charity Project Mexico
With the holiday spirit in mind, Aramco Mortgage passes along proceeds to help those less fortunate

Holding its third annual Christmas gathering, local real estate mortgage company the ARAMCO group gathered friends, family and those in the local business community, especially members of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, to celebrate the holidays and raise funds for Project Mexico. “Many of the little boys that the orphanage takes in are then able to go on to college and build wonderful careers”, said Mehran Aram, President of the ARAMCO group. “This event was very successful--everyone enjoyed themselves and we hope to go from the third annual event to the thirtieth.”

The charity, which has its office in Chula Vista, also aids those in need of homes by providing volunteers who travel to various areas and build simple homes for those who have little more than a dirt floor. “The holiday season is a time for joy and we also feel here at the ARAMCO group that it is a time for giving and giving back to the community”, said ARAMCO’s Director of Marketing, Darius Aram. “We hope that we can do it again next year and continue to give back.”

Special guests for the evening included Alan Nevin, Economist at the Xpera Group, Dennis L. Snyder President and founder of the American Charter Schools and Ted Owen, CEO of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce. “The evening would not have been possible without our many friends in the business community who helped make this evening possible” Alexandra Aram, who heads up charitable giving for the ARAMCO group, added. “We received donations from Andy Strasberg , AM 1170 KCBQ, Lindsey Management, The Breakfast Club Diner, San Diego Union Tribune, AM 760 KFMB, The Landings Restaurant and many more. Our delicious food was graciously provided by our friends at Little Zeus Greek Cuisine all of which helped to make our evening a success. “We are happy to match the amount that our friends and guests from the community generously donated and pass that on to Project Mexico.”

“The Aramco Group has been part of the Project Mexico & St. Innocent Orphanage family for many years”, said Ben De La Riva, Executive Director of the ARAMCO group’s contribution. “Their generosity and steadfast support of our ministry demonstrates the depth of their commitment to bearing the burdens of others and breaking the horrific cycle of world poverty. We are thankful for their love and friendship as we continue to ‘make a difference together’.”
