The shopper is able to bag while scanning and shopping, avoiding long wait times often found in traditional checkout lines. Payment is easily accomplished by either handing the Joya X1device to a cashier to cash out, or visiting a self-service payment kiosk.
When lines become lengthy, the Joya X1 device may be used as a queue-busting solution, allowing a clerk to scan the items in a customer’s basket while they’re in line, drastically reducing the customer’s wait time in the line.

Additional features include a 2.8" diagonal backlit color graphic display, Datalogic’s patented ‘Green Spot’ technology for good read feedback, USB and Wi-Fi connectivity, Microsoft® Windows CE, and Wavelink Avalanche® device management is available upon request.
