Turn out at Wasatch Academy's open house of their newly restored museum, Liberal Hall was impressive. Liberal Hall is the first site of Wasatch Academy, the oldest continuously operating secondary school in the state of Utah.

Exhibits included original photos from world famous photographer Ansel Adams who's son graduated from Wasatch Academy. Collections of paintings by local artist John Stansfield, a water color by Herman Groutage, a well-known Utah painter and many archives rich with history were also on display.

Mount Pleasant and the Sanpete Valley is an area rich in history. Wasatch Academy's goal in opening Liberal Hall to the public is to welcome anyone doing research on the area. Luke Austin, Director of the museum stated, "Liberal Hall is more than a museum. This is a laboratory - a research center."

The museum will also serve as a hub for Utah Heritage Highway 89.
