The winners in each category will compete nationally in the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Stars of the Industry Award Program.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton, Homewood Suites by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Anchorage hotels will be recognized at the Awards Gala on January 25, 2014. In addition to the properties’ recognition, numerous employees have received Employee of the Year nominations. From the Embassy Suites Anchorage hotel, Brittney Johnsen is nominated for Front Office Employee of the Year, Gemma Borje is nominated for Housekeeping Employee of the Year, Avanel Findlay is nominated for Housekeeping Employee of the Year, Tim LeClair is nominated for Maintenance/Security Employee of the Year and Susan Oria is nominated for Housekeeping Manager of the Year. The Homewood Suites by Hilton Anchorage hotel is pleased to announce that Sam McDole is nominated for Food and Beverage Employee of the Year, with Jessica Biering and Ja-Nice Oliver both nominated for Employee of the Year, Front Desk. The Hilton Garden Inn Anchorage hotel announces the following team member nominations; Tina Sega for Hotel Employee of the Year (Front Desk/Under 150 rooms), Catherine Roy for Hotel Employee of the Year (Food & Beverage/Under 150 rooms) and Chef Jay Mendoza the Rising Star Award.
