Kathryn Weber Offers Up Auspicious Purse Colors for Year of the Horse
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) January 16, 2014 -- January 31, 2014 is the official start of the Year of the Horse. Fashion mavens last year selected snake-motif items to harmonize with the Year of the Snake. But snake skin pants and snake themed jewelry is one thing, but how do you harmonize your fashion selections to be auspicious in the Year of the Horse? With color.
Kathryn Weber, author of the 2014 Feng Shui Forecast, Year of the Horse on Amazon, says Asian women and women all over the world like to tie in their fashion selections, and in particular, their handbag and wallet colors with the year’s energy. According to Weber, each year brings a new set of energies, and harmonizing with those energies helps bring better luck. Last year’s handbag color for good fortune was gold. This year, it’s two colors, red and black.
A woman’s handbag is an important symbol of her finances, from the type of bag she carries to the way she treats it, and the color she selects. "Everyone knows that red is the color of good fortune in Asia, but black is the color of wealth and prestige," Weber said, "And this is the year that the energies favor women advancing financially, so having an extra dose of good luck with an auspicious handbag is a great way to inspire better financial, career and business luck."
In the Year of the Horse, the elements of water and metal are missing, Weber says, making black or blue the most auspicious colors for handbags. "But metal is also missing, making a gold wallet, representing hidden wealth inside a handbag, the perfect wallet color for the year," Weber said. Better still, Weber says, is a black handbag with a gold wallet. This pair makes an extremely auspicious combination in handbags and fashion, in general. "Black with gold represents flowing wealth and strong generating income," Weber said. Of course, red is always an excellent energizer for wealth, and the purse is a woman’s outward symbol of wealth. Paired again with a gold wallet, the combination signifies success and the riches that come with it.
