Bevilacqua Asphalt Purchases New Plant from Asphalt Drum Mixers
Uxbridge, MA (PRWEB) January 14, 2014 -- Bevilacqua Asphalt has selected model EX10248 from Asphalt Drum Mixers Inc. (ADM) as its new asphalt plant. Bevilacqua, a new asphalt production company with roots in the asphalt paving industry, will use the new plant to supply hot-mix asphalt to small- and mid-sized paving companies in the Massachusetts area.
The EX10248 plant from ADM features a 48-foot-long rotary drum to produce up to 300 tons of asphalt per hour. It uses counterflow technology and an efficient burner to minimize fuel consumption and hydrocarbon emissions. In addition to the mixing drum, the plant includes a 60,000-acfm baghouse; five 14-by-10-foot cold feed bins; two 30-ton recycle bins; three 150-ton silos with drag conveyor and transfer drags; and a control system. The new plant went online six months after the groundbreaking.
“I had an ADM plant in my former business and had tremendous success with it, so I really saw no reason to look elsewhere,” said Steve Bevilacqua, company owner and president. “We knew we could depend on ADM’s engineering expertise to help make our project a success. It all came together nicely.”
