Lakes Country Living, a made-for-cable television show about life in out-state Minnesota, announces the launch of a redesigned mobile-friendly website and new blog at LakesCountry.TV.
"The website is designed to offer a more comprehensive overview of the show’s content and to better explain our themes and purpose,” says Steve Henning, producer and host of the program. “This site is filled with stills from different episodes, conveying the diverse and lush Minnesota landscape as a backdrop to the contents on each page. I think it should be fun and interesting to explore our website, just as it is fun to discover the untold stories of our state when you watch the show.” Henning points out that many of the show’s stories, like the website photographs, are off the beaten trail.
In addition to the new website, Lakes Country Living announces the launch of a new blog, to complement recently established social media profiles on Facebook and Twitter. The blog provides readers with behind-the-scenes anecdotes as the show completes production of this viewing season and starts to gather material for the coming year. Working with social media, the blog also serves as a way to engage viewers and followers of the video magazine, furthering its commitment to champion the rural communities, farmers, artists and entrepreneurs who contribute to the region’s rich quality of life.
Now in its fourth season, Lakes Country Living is a half-hour made-for-cable video magazine featuring stories that explore the arts, country life, small businesses, local history and outdoor recreation available in rural Minnesota, with particular attention given to conveying local flavor. Thumper Pond, a premier golf destination resort located in Ottertail, has been the show’s primary sponsor. Growers Mineral Solutions, an environmentally friendly nontoxic plant food, signed on as a sponsor for the fourth season of the show.
