Backyard Travel Releases News of Promotion for Their ‘Traverse Laos: Rivers & Royal Capitals’ Tour
Bangkok, Thailand (PRWEB) January 14, 2014 -- The seven-day, six-night guided Laos tour begins in lovely Luang Prabang, a place of great scenic beauty that has inspired artists and poets for centuries. Travelers can ease into their exploration with a visit to the picturesque peak of Mt. Phousi to oversee the area from an aerial view before visiting the local hill tribe market.
While in Luang Prabang travelers will have the chance to visit the famous Wat Xieng Thong, the most photographed temple in Laos, and make a riverboat pilgrimage to the Pak Ou Caves filled with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues. Travelers will also make stops at the National Museum, Royal Palace and Wat Mai.
The tailored Laos tour then takes travelers to visit Wat Visoun and the picturesque Kuangsi Waterfalls – a spectacular series of waterfalls and pools perfect to relax and unwind in. There’s also the chance to visit a local Bear Rescue Center to see how the endangered animals are being protected and make stops at the small villages of Ban Xien Lek and Ban Xang Khong who produce hand-made textiles and Mulberry paper.
The second half of the intriguing Laos tour moves to the country’s capital Vientiane via Vang Vieng where travelers can explore the famous caves and take a boat ride on the Nam Gum Lake surrounded by breathtaking mountains.
Once in Vientiane travelers will explore the capital along with their expert local Backyard Travel guide and visit all the major place of interest, such as Wat Sisaket, Wat Phra Keo, Wat Simuang, Tat Luang and Patuxay before ending the tour with a visit to a coffee center to try the best brews in Laos.
“Laos is a laid-back nation that exudes an aura of relaxation and tranquility combined with a natural beauty that few countries can match,” said Backyard Travel’s General Manager Maeve Nolan. “We hope this six-night guided tour will allow travelers to investigate the highlights of Luang Prabang and Vientiane and gain an understanding of local culture along the way.”
