Acadian Ambulance and Air Med Honored by Louisiana State Police

(PRWEB) January 14, 2014 -- The Louisiana State Police have awarded Acadian Ambulance and Air Med with their elite Distinguished Service Award. The award is bestowed upon entities that are friends and comrades of the LSP and go above and beyond in serving their communities.

Acadian’s vice president of air services, Erroll Babineaux, was in attendance at Troop I’s annual Christmas luncheon when he was called up in front of the hundreds in attendance to receive the award for the Acadian Ambulance and Air Med employees.

“I was completely shocked, but also incredibly honored to be able to accept this award on behalf of our ground and flight medics,” said Babineaux. “We are all so grateful to have such an excellent working relationship with the Louisiana State Police, and we have so much respect for their dedication to the safety of our communities.”

The award is not a recurring award, but instead a special recognition given on an as-earned basis by the Louisiana State Police to acknowledge those that go above and beyond.

“We are very particular in who we give this award to,” said Becket Breaux, Troop I commander. “Acadian Ambulance and Air Med have done a lot for the troops over the years and we were very happy to recognize them for their efforts.”
