Mallard Creek Polymers Expands the BarrierPro® Product Offering for the Construction Industry
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) January 15, 2014 -- Mallard Creek Polymers, Inc. (MCP) continues its aggressive R&D effort to create performance emulsion polymer products designed for waterproofing, moisture vapor and air barrier coatings, in addition to polymer systems for EIFS and cement modification.
The latest product, BarrierPro® 4551, provides industry leading performance that meets or exceeds today’s most demanding building system requirements. BarrierPro® 4551 is a new generation of product that is highly water resistant, with high strength and medium flexibility, and gives less than one perm MVTR as measured by ASTM E-96.
BarrierPro® 4551 joins other recent styrene-butadiene latex introductions. Tylac® 4193, a flexible cement modification latex developed to enhance adhesion and flexibility of cementitious membranes and coatings, and BarrierPro® 4555, a highly flexible and water resistant latex designed for damp proofing applications. These products, along with the other existing grades, meet the demanding performance challenges required by the industries evolving building codes and standards to protect the building envelope from moisture.
Details on these products and others can be obtained in the Building and Construction Selection Guide. Additionally, company representatives will be available at World of Concrete from January 21-23 and Surfaces from January 28-30.
