Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP announced that Michael G. Kelber has been named co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group. Kelber will serve as co-chair alongside partner Antony J. McShane.
Kelber is a partner in the Intellectual Property practice group at Neal Gerber Eisenberg. With more than 17 years of experience, Kelber has extensive experience representing individuals and corporations in all aspects of intellectual property law and related transactions and litigation. He has represented clients in copyright, trademark and patent litigation, including seeking and defending temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions, summary judgment, and at trial.

Formed in 2002, the group has experienced tremendous growth and now boasts 32 attorneys, of which 15 are partners and 19 are registered patent attorneys, and represents multinational, midsized and emerging companies, as well as start-ups and nonprofit organizations. Boasting nine members of the Federal Trial Bar, the IP group counsels, enforces and defends its clients in a wide array of industries, including consumer electronics, gaming, online and social media services, and hospitality, and focusing in a broad range of technologies, including, biotech, electrical, and mechanical arts.
Kelber earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
