The Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation Launches Updated Website
Buffalo, NY (PRWEB) January 16, 2014 -- The Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation today announced it has launched a new website following completion of a multi-year strategic planning effort. The site – which continues at the URL http://www.thetowerfoundation.org – hosts information on the Foundation’s history, mission, and strategy as well as serves vital specifics on grant application pre-requisites and procedures. New interactive tools showcasing grant recipients, important dates, and partner videos will deliver useful data in a new way. The site also hyperlinks with the Foundation’s online grant portal.
Executive Director Tracy Sawicki noted the decision to update the site arose naturally, as part of larger strategic communication efforts. “Websites are iterative representations of the organizations with which they are associated. Our site supplies information about us to the general public and is an increasingly important venue for our grant seekers.” Sawicki continued, “Broadening the quantity and quality of information we are able to make available ultimately improves our constituents’ funding success.”
The new site retains the well-recognized Tower Foundation seagull-themed logo, which originated in a self-portrait painted by the late Elizabeth C. (Liz) Tower. Explained Sawicki, “We’ve designed a site that embraces our existing identity, and then magnifies it out…in both informative and aesthetic ways. We’ve even included a unique gallery honoring Mrs. Tower’s accomplishments as an artist.”
“As we advance in 2014, we will add more features and functionality to the site—each will reflect who we are and how we function as an organization,” said Sawicki. “It’s our intent to incorporate additional accessibility components, a series of success stories, an annual review, new images, and legacy audio clips…all of which highlight our origins, goals, and activities.” Concluded Sawicki, “The Foundation is fortunate to have much to say and wonderful technology to help it communicate. Visit us online often.”
