Greenberg Traurig Ranks No. 1 in Poland Based on Value of M&A Deals in 2013
WARSAW (PRWEB) January 15, 2014 -- The Mergermarket 2013 M&A Trend Report published January 9, 2014 lists the international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP as No. 1 in Poland league tables based on its overall monetary value of M&A deals in 2013. The report, which focuses on the market for legal services related to mergers and acquisitions, notes that Greenberg Traurig offered advice in relation to the largest M&A transactions in Poland with an aggregate value of USD6.7billion; a difference of USD5.5billion from the number two spot in the list. Based on deal count, Greenberg Traurig placed third with 11 transactions in 2013.
In addition to the Poland-specific listing, Greenberg Traurig rose to the eighth spot based on monetary value in the Central Europe and Eastern Europe region which includes Russia and Turkey. The firm is listed 14th spot based on deal count for the region.

The largest M&A transactions on which Greenberg Traurig offered advice in 2013 include, the takeover of Polkomel by Cyfrowy Polsat, the takeover of BGŻ by BNP Paribas, Bank PKO BP’s takeover of Nordea Bank, the takover of the Canadian TriOil company by PKN Orlen, the sale of Wirtualna Polska portal by TP S.A., the sale of eService by Bank PKO BP, and the takeover of Zelmer by Bosch und Siemens, among others.
